Retooling McDonald's Egg McMuffin: Mo' Butter, Mo' Better

Inspired by the classic Egg McMuffin from McDonald's, Food & Convo's Resident Chef, Jonathan Demoga took the Sunday morning breakfast sammy to new heights. Notorious for his use of fresh local ingredients and love of NOLA-style cuisine, Demoga showcases a complex layering of flavors while sticking to classic techniques and familiar combinations. Demoga pairs his take on the Sausage, Egg & Cheese with a sweet pepper jelly which beautifully compliments the spicy handmade sausage patty and thick buttery chive biscuit, griddled to perfection. Of course, no Sunday sammy would be complete with golden fried hash browns & a hibiscus Tiki brunch cocktail.
